Manufacturer: Cipla, India
Pharmaceutical name: Warfarin
Pack: 10 pills (1 mg)
Warf is utilized to treat and prevent dangerous blood clots that might occur in the veins (venous thrombosis), in the lungs (pulmonary embolism), with a type of irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), or after a heart valve replacement. Additionally, Warf helps decrease the chances of stroke and other complications in individuals who have experienced a heart attack. Warf functions as an anticoagulant by inhibiting the production of specific clotting factors, making it impossible for blood clots to develop in their absence.
Use Warf as instructed by your healthcare provider. Avoid taking it in larger or smaller doses or for a longer duration than prescribed. Adhere to the instructions on your prescription label. Your doctor might occasionally adjust your dosage to ensure optimal results. Take Warf at the same time every day, and it can be consumed with or without food. Do not engage in weight-loss dieting while on Warf, and inform your doctor of any changes in your body weight for any reason. While taking Warf, you will need to have your blood tested regularly, so make sure to see your doctor frequently.
You may need to pause the medication temporarily if you require antibiotics, surgery, dental procedures, a spinal tap, or epidural anesthesia. Continue taking Warf even if you feel fine. Do not skip any doses unless specifically instructed by your doctor. If you miss a dose of Warf, contact your doctor immediately. Feel free to ask your healthcare provider any questions regarding the proper use of Warf.
